Airplane Leaseback Calculator – XLS

Run your own profit, loss and defrayal scenarios of putting your airplane to work.

Download the Excel Airplane Leaseback Calculator

It has two sections: the top is your cost of aircraft ownership and operations and based on that info scenarios you can play with based on the aircraft rental rate, hours rented and whether it’s a percentage or fixed fee leaseback arrangement.

No catches, no ads, just a spreadsheet made to run my own numbers when I owned the airplane in the hangar below.

NOTE: This “leaseback” is the general aviation version in which a light airplane is put to work in an airplane management agreement with a school or club.

The video covers other VERY important considerations in the potential gain or loss from entering into a leaseback.

For example, percentage versus fixed fee, where you put your plane to work, etc.

My airplane went from assembly line to leaseback in 1979 (long before I owned it) as a way for the owner to defray the cost of ownership. According to the logs it didn’t last long as a leaseback.

It took many hours to make the xls; by downloading it you agree to not redistribute it, which includes posting it on your own site without credit. Thanks.

Also, I don’t offer support for the spreadsheet.
